RV loans

About half of what Shana finances is RVs, not a boat business that also takes a coach now and then. She places those loans with about 20 banks through OceanPoint Funding. That is why an older coach, high miles, or a credit history with something on it is still a conversation.

• No age cap. The year of the RV is not what decides whether she can place it.
• Mileage is not the obstacle. She has banks that are not concerned with the miles on the coach.
• Full-timers. Financing for living in the RV, not only a weekend rig.
• Lower credit scores. A score that stopped an application somewhere else is worth a phone call.
• As little as zero down. Low- and no-down-payment loans are available, depending on the coach and which bank the file goes to.
• No income documents, sometimes. Several of her banks will write a loan without income verification.

Which of these fits depends on the coach and the bank. That is what the first conversation is for. All financing is subject to credit approval. Applications are submitted to and processed by OceanPoint Funding.

What to have ready

The first call is short. These are the four things she asks. If the coach is one of ours, we already know the last two.

1. Year, make, and model, and whether it is a motorhome or a towable.
2. The price, and anything already agreed.
3. Where it is, and who is selling it.
4. When you want to pick it up. Paperwork takes longer than a delivery date feels like it should.

• Call us first if you want. We will tell you whether a particular coach is likely to finance cleanly. Cash and trades are welcome too.
• The application goes to OceanPoint Funding, on their secure portal, tagged to Shana. Porter's does not take the application. She lends nationwide, so buying it here in Williamston is not a problem.
